~ 2022 Breeding Schedule ~ **
** FOR 2022, due to my dads sudden passing, I am not bottle raising 2022 kids, but they are handled daily & friendly with people. * Please review the New Goat Owner Pages and Pre-Purchase exam linked above before completing a Sales Contract.
FEED & FRIENDLINESS: We bottle raise kids so they are friendly & are ready for new homes at 8-10 wks old. Kids will have their first CDT vaccine, deworming & coccidia treatment before leaving. Kids come with a "NEW GOAT OWNER GOODY BAG" including a bottle/nipple for bottle raised kids, next doses of any medications w/instructions, current feed (loose goat minerals, Purina Medicated Goat Grower 16, & orchard grass hay) to slowly transition to the feed of your choice. Bottle raised kids are fed 75% fresh goats milk & 25% Whole Cows milk (basic Vitamin D Whole Cows milk from a grocery store) to make it easier to transition to a 100% Whole Milk in their new home. We will provide you with enough goats milk to safely & slowly transition to 100% Whole Milk in their first week at your home. WE DO NOT ADVISE USING MILK REPLACER AT ALL! We strongly advise continuing the feed program we use. It's developed from years of trial & error, IT WORKS! We strongly recommend Purina Goat Grower MEDICATED feed for growing kids, yearlings, & also for mature males/wethers. Purina Goat Grower 16 Medicated helps prevent Coccidia in young goats & helps prevent Urinary Stones in males/wethers.
REGISTRATION/NO HORNS: All Doe/Buck kids are ADGA registered, ear tattooed/microchipped, & disbudded/polled before leaving our farm. Wethers are disbudded/polled, no registration or microchip for pet wethers. Wethers are $150 each/ or $240 pair/ or 3 for $320. SALES/DEPOSITS: NO deposits/contracts accepted until kids are on the ground. Prior to kids birth, a simple reservation list will be kept and once kid is available I will contact those on the reservation list to proceed with deposits, contracts & payment. After it's birth, a $50 non-refundable deposit will hold a kid of your choice until it is ready (approx. 8 wks old). Health Certificate is required for out of state sales, cost as of Jan 2021 is about $100 per Health Certificate to be paid by buyer. Any additional required testing or permits for buyers state are at the buyers expense and must be determined 30 days before transport/departure. We recommend ground transport through Brian Gorman of Blarney Heights Transport or Amy Sporna of 5-Star Transport. Airline crate is required for all air-shipped kids ($100-$300 per crate). Transport to/from airport for air-shipped kids approx $50. Airline costs will be determined by destination & airline. We will ship out of Portland International Airport/PDX, Portland, Oregon.
